§ 53. Mr. Thorpeasked the Minister of Transport what proposals he has for increasing the road programme in the South-West; to which bodies he has disclosed such plans, apart from the local authorities concerned; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MarplesI am arranging for a survey to determine the line and design of a new dual carriageway road between East Brent, where the M.5 motorway is at present planned to terminate, and Exeter. As regards roads west of Exeter, I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Falmouth and Camborne (Mr. Hayman) on 28th February. I published these proposals in the normal way on 24th February.
