§ Miss Quennellasked the Minister of Labour how many vacancies for youth employment officers exist where the service is administered by his Department and in cases where his Department acts as an agent for local authorities.
§ Mr. GodberOf the 205 youth employment officer posts in my Department, one is vacant. In areas where the service is administered by local education authorities there are just over 1,260 posts, of which 80 are vacant. Every effort is being made to fill these vacancies, for which a number of candidates will become available next month on completing the 1963–64 vouth employment training courses leading to appointments with local education authorities.
