§ 70. Mr. W. Yatesasked the Minister of Transport, in view of the fact that the access roads to the new town area of Dawley are inadequate and in a poor condition, why he has decided to reduce the county grant for minor improvements and maintenance.
§ Mr. MarplesThe need for improving the access roads to Dawley will be taken into account in the preparation of future roadworks programmes when the proposals for the new town are further advanced and the pattern of roads required can be seen. Annual allocations within the ten year maintenance and minor improvements programme are adjusted according to the relative current needs of agent authorities.
