§ 11. Mr. A. Lewisasked the Minister of Public Building and Works if he will publish in HANSARD a table of figures giving the actual or percentage rise or fall since October, 1951, in the cost of all materials used by his Department in work connected with house or office building.
§ Mr. RipponNo separate figures are available of materials used by my Ministry in connection with its house and office building work. It is fair to assume that the cost of materials used in this work has risen by the same amount as the average cost of building materials. The overall percentage increase for materials used in construction between October, 1951, and May, 1964, was 25 per cent.
