§ 49. Mr. E. Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the duration of the appointment of those members of the Horserace Betting Levy Board and of the Horse-race Totalisator Board whom he appoints; and what is the procedure for reviewing such appointments.
§ Mr. WoodhouseThe appointments are for a period of three years, and the current appointment to both Boards expire on 31st August, 1964. Under the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act, 1963, the appointments are entirely at my right hon. Friend's discretion and there is no prescribed procedure as to their review.
