§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary for Technical Co-operation if he will extend the low-priced university text books scheme to the High Commission Territories as a means of assisting the new University of Basutoland, Swaziland, and Bechuanaland.
§ Mr. R. CarrIt is too early to say whether there is a real need for such an arrangement; but I will keep the suggestion in mind, and will arrange for it to be discussed with the British publishers if it seems to be desirable later on.
In the meantime it should be remembered that the British Council has already supplied some books to the university and that it is open to the university to apply for library books under the Commonwealth Development and Welfare funds made available to it.
