§ Mr. Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will arrange for the establishment of a national magnets research laboratory in the north of England, to be run in connection with the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
§ Sir E. BoyleThe Council for Scientific and Industrial Research is considering the possibility of establishing a national high magnetic field laboratory which would probably work in close association with a university. A number of possible locations are being considered, including Newcastle-upon-Tyne. No final decisions have yet been reached.
