§ 51 and 52. Mr. Holtasked the Minister of Transport (1) in view of the fact that the A.56 through Frodsham and Helsby provides the only practical link for most of Lancashire with the North Wales coastal resorts, what special steps he has taken to keep its traffic conditions under constant review;
(2) to what extent his Department is regularly informed about the extent of the traffic congestion on the A.56 through Frodsham and Helsby; and to what extent this road is overloaded.
§ Mr. MarplesAs I told the hon. Member on 15th July, I am well aware of conditions on this road and accept that a bypass of Helsby and Frodsham merits high priority.
