§ 41. Mr. Willeyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will make a statement on the negotiating machinery for the remuneration of teachers.
§ Mr. HoggOn 29th June I had a discussion with the associations representing local authorities at which they gave me their views on the proposals put forward in my right hon. Friend's letter of 3rd March last. The views of the teachers' associations had already been made known to me. I am now reviewing the position urgently with a view to putting further proposals before the parties.
