Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will institute an independent inquiry into allegations of bribery and corruption against a Metropolitan Police officer, details of whom have been communicated to him by the hon. Member for West Ham, North, on various dates, and about whom his Parliamentary Under-Secretary replied in a letter on 6th December, 1963.
