§ Mr. Brockwayasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will instruct the British delegate to the United Nations to propose that a Committee of Good Offices be set up to negotiate a settlement of the dispute on the use of the Jordan waters.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerNone of the States immediately concerned has requested United Nations assistance or intervention in this matter and it would be inappropriate for Her Majesty's Government to take an initiative of this kind.
