Brigadier Clarke

asked the Minister of Transport if the Government have now received a proposal to build a British reactor for a commercial nuclear ship which has some prospect of being economically attractive.

Brigadier Clarke

asked the Minister of Transport (1) when the Government will be in a position to reach a decision to commence building the first commercial nuclear ship in Great Britain;

(2) when it is anticipated that he will receive the report of the working group examining the merits of different nuclear marine reactor systems.

I cannot yet say.
