Mr. Staintonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give details of the approximate prices received in the open market by East Anglian growers of blackcurrants in each of the four past seasons, together 10W with details of the estimated acreage in East Anglia devoted to the commercial growing of this fruit.
§ Mr. Scott-HopkinsI have no information relating specifically to East Anglian growers, but the following are average seasonal prices per ton received by growers for blackcurrants in Covent Garden, Birmingham and Nottingham markets (the three markets nearest to East Anglia for which information about prices is available):
