§ Mr. MarplesThe average number of British vessels laid up for lack of employment during the last six months of 1963 was 41, totalling 267,000 gross tons. At the 31st December, 1963, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 23 British vessels totalling 132,000 gross tons laid up for lack of employment.
