§ 87. Mr. J. Morrisasked the Minister of Transport whether he will announce his decision on the recommendations of the Transport Users' Consultative Committee of August 1962 on the future of the Porthcawl-Pyle railway in summer.
§ Mr. MarplesI have informed the Railways Board that, after considering the recommendation of the Transport Users' Consultative Committee and the other factors involved in providing a service in the summer months only, I agree to the closure of this service.
As the hon. Member knows, the winter service ceased, with my agreement, last year.
