§ Mr. Bostonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, if, in view of the advanced stage of the crossbreeding trials with the Charollais bulls, he will now relax the prohibition upon exports of their semen.
§ Mr. PeartThe breeding of pure Charollais cattle in this country must await a decision upon the cross-breeding trials, and I am therefore not prepared to authorise the use of the bulls for pure breeding elsewhere at this time. I am however now prepared to meet requests from those countries who have applications outstanding for Charollais semen for the purpose of cross-breeding trials similar to those we have undertaken.
