Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister what action he takes to ensure that, when officially inviting Members of Parliament to Government receptions, lunches and dinners, etc., to meet overseas and other guests of Her Majesty's Government, Members with 20 or more years of service in the House of Commons, who have never hitherto received such an invitation, are given an opportunity of receiving one before their retirement from Parliament.
