The remuneration of doctors in the hospital service and general practice is kept under review by the Review Body on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration, whose most recent recommendations were accepted with effect from 1st April, 1963.
Nurses' remuneration and conditions of service are negotiated on the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council. The current salary scales came into effect on 1st July, 1964.
