§ Mr. Hendryasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that, although the Forestry Commission must obtain the consent of his Department of Agriculture before using agricultural 66W land for forestry, there is no similar obligation upon private landowners; and whether he will take steps to require them to do so.
§ Mr. RossAn alteration of this kind in the existing procedure would require legislation and I do not consider that this would be justified.
