§ 67. Mr. Steeleasked the Minister of Public Building and Works if he will list the public contractors in Scotland who have been asked to tender for work in connection with the Polaris bases at Faslane and Coulport.
§ Mr. Rippon33 Scottish firms on the Ministry's approved list have been invited to tender so far, some more than once, for contracts at these sites, in accordance with the Ministry's normal procedure for selective tendering. I regret that I cannot publish the names of those invited to tender as this would make it impossible to operate such a tendering procedure. I intend however, in future, once a contract has been let that all tenderers will normally be supplied with the names of the other tenderers.
