Mr. Milne

asked the Minister of Power if he will state the amount paid in interest charges on money borrowed by the Electricity Boards from 1951 to 1963, and the rate of interest in each of those years.

The amounts paid in interest charges by the British Electricity Authority, the Central Electricity Authority, the Electricity Council and the Electricity Boards in England and Wales are shown in their accounts laid before Parliament:
