§ Sir B. Jannerasked the Minister of Transport whether he will consider the desirability of introducing into Great Britain the use of temporary portable steel highways which can be assembled in a few hours to enable traffic to flow unimpeded when part of a motorway has to be closed for repairs, such as have recently been introduced in West Germany.
§ Mr. MarplesSuch repairs as have been necessary up to now have not caused congestion. But I will consider the use of temporary structures in the future if undue congestion seems likely.
