§ Mr. Boydenasked the Minister of Education how many older students awaiting entry into training colleges have received pre-entry tuition either by correspondence or personally from their training college tutors.
§ Sir E. BoyleIt is a common practice for colleges to advise and encourage older candidates to undertake appropriate further reading or study before the start of their college course, and this is particularly true of the day colleges which cater primarily for such students. But I have no statistical information about these arrangements.
