asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what proposals for hydro-electric development in the Highlands and Islands he has now decided to approve; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what decision he has reached on proposals for the provision of electricity in the unserved Outer Isles areas, with particular reference to Barra and North Uist.
