asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many Hong Kong Government officials have been convicted and dismissed on charges of corruption; and how many were so dealt with in the second hall of 1961, and in the first and second halves of 1962, respectively.

Mr. Sandys

Since 1st September, 1960, 31 Hong Kong Government officials have been convicted by the courts and dismissed on charges of corruption, 6 in the second half of 1961 and 4 and 5 in the first and second halves of 1962, respectively.
