§ 66. Mr. Holtasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what consideration he has given to the setting up of regional planning authorities, covering the whole of the United Kingdom, to be responsible for regional planning and development within an overall target for growth laid down by Her Majesty's Government.
§ Mr. MaudlingAll regions must play their full part if the overall growth target is to be achieved, and the Government are giving special attention to those regions which have exceptional structural problems. But I have no proposals for delegating responsibility to a network of regional planning authorities.
