Ports and Landing Stages, Gambia River (Improvements)

Mr. Boyden

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what improvements are in hand for ports and landing stages on the Gambia river.

Mr. Fisher

The Gambia Government proposes this year to reconstruct the marine dockyard slipway at Half-Die and to improve the ferry terminals at Yellitenda. Other improvements are being considered in the drawing up of a new Development Plan.
