§ 52. Dr. A. Thompsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will appoint a small committee to inquire into conditions and standards of hygiene in operating theatres in Scottish hospitals.
§ Mr. NobleNo. I do not think that a committee would serve a useful purpose. Guidance has been given to hospital authorities as to the standards that should be observed. Forty-four new theatres have been built since 1948 and others have been improved.
