asked the Minister of Transport what plains he has for easing acute traffic congestion at the junction of North Road and Western Avenue, Cardiff.

Traffic conditions at this junction are the concern of the Cardiff City Council, and any steps to improve them are their responsibility. Much has been done to increase its capacity by improving the traffic signal installations.

We are aware of no other plans short of the complete rebuilding of this junction as part of the construction of Eastern Avenue.
