§ Mr. MarplesNotice has been given of proposals to withdraw all passenger services from 154 miles of railway in Scotland.
§ 52. Mr. Manuelasked the Minister of Transport what consultations he has now had with the Secretary of State for Scotland regarding such closure proposals as have now been made to him for passenger services in Scotland.
§ Mr. MarplesThe Scottish Transport Users Consultative Committee has not had occasion to report to me on any passenger closure proposals since August, 1962. But in any case, the hon. Member will, I feel sure, understand that I cannot undertake to keep hon. Members informed of the timing and nature of my consultations with my colleagues.
