§ Mr. Cleaverasked the Postmaster-General when the Annual Report and Accounts of Cable and Wireless Limited for 1962–63 will be available.
§ Mr. BevinsI propose to present the Annual Report and Accounts of Cable and Wireless Limited for 1962–63 to Parliament very shortly. I and my predecessors have, since the Government acquired the shares of Cable and Wireless Limited in 1947, presented the Annual Report and Accounts of the Company to Parliament by Command, and they have been republished in the series of Command Papers. In order to effect economies by avoiding double printing, I now propose that the Company's Report and Accounts for 1962–63, and subsequently, should be presented to Parliament in the form in which they are printed for the purposes of the Company and that they should not be republished. Copies will be available to Members without charge in the usual way and will, as in the past, be put on sale by H.M. Stationery Office. The Report and Accounts for 1962–63 will be 239W available at the Vote Office on Tuesday, 30th July.
I trust that the new procedure will meet the convenience of the House.
