HC Deb 25 July 1963 vol 681 c216W
52. Sir B. Janner

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of addition to river pollution in the Thames estuary caused by ships' dunnage being tossed overboard by crews, he will require the Customs authorities to allow dunnage to be taken ashore as firewood instead of, as at present, charged as imported timber.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

No. This is already the practice.
