§ 74 and 75. Mr. Haymanasked the Minister of Transport (1) what information he has on the extent to which British ships are being repaired in Continental shipyards;
176W(2) whether he will take steps to ensure that all British ships are repaired in British shipyards, except in emergencies.
§ Mr. MarplesThere are no official records which show the extent to which British ships are repaired abroad, but I do not believe that to restrict British shipowners to British repair yards would be in the best interests of either industry.
