§ Mr. ErrollMy noble Friend the Minister of State, Scottish Office, visited Bavaria last October in order to interest companies there in expansion in Scot-136W land. The advantages of investment in the United Kingdom as a whole are explained in a specially prepared booklet in German, copies of which I sent personally last autumn to 175 leading German companies. The booklet was at the same time given a wide distribution amongst other German industrialists and banks and copies are held in H.M. Embassy and Consulates in Western Germany. Further publicity was given to the subject at the British Information Stand at' the Hanover Fair this year.
