HC Deb 15 July 1963 vol 681 c8W
66. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Minister of Aviation whether he will raise at the International Civil Aviation Organisation the desirability, in the interests of safety and good navigation, of adopting internationally standardised names with standardised pronunciations for all parts, signals and movements of aircraft.

Mr. Marten

The International Civil Aviation Organisation has, with the full co-operation and support of United Kingdom representatives, been working on this problem for some years and considerable progress has been made.
