§ Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that some general hospitals are refusing to admit aged people for treatment if they are mentally confused; that mental hospitals refuse admittance to such people unless they are violent, and that this situation is causing distress in many homes; if he will cause an inquiry to be made into this social problem; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BraineI have no evidence that hospitals are so acting, but will investigate any cases of difficulty which the hon. Member may have in mind.
