67. Dr. Bennettasked the Postmaster-General for what reason a letter postmarked Fareham, 8.45 p.m., 25th June, 1963, whose cover has now been forwarded to him, was not delivered in Cadogan Gardens, London, S.W.I, until the morning of 27th June, 1963, some 36 hours later; and, in view of the fact that this represents a rate of some 2 miles per hour, what steps he will take to speed up the service.
§ Mr. MawbyI am sorry that this letter was not delivered on 26th June as it should have been. So far I have not been able to find out what went wrong, but I will write to my hon. Friend as soon as my inquiries are complete.
