Thompsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will appoint a small committee to study the forthcoming report of the Medical Research Council concerning the causes and treatment of bronchitis, with a view to examining its application to Scotland and securing the speediest implementation of its recommendations.

Member for Hertford (Lord Balniel) yesterday, the Medical 177W Research Council do not intend to publish a special report on the causes and treatment of bronchitis, research into which is a continuing activity of the Council. I have, however, recently received a report on certain aspects of bronchitis from my Standing Medical Advisory Committee, which will be published shortly.
