§ Mr. Matthewsasked the Minister of Public Building and Works if he will withdraw Steel Economy Bulletin No. 1, which was issued by his Department in 1952, in view of the fact that constructional steel is no longer in short supply.
§ Mr. RipponI welcome the opportunity to make it clear that in so far as this Bulletin was issued at a time when there was an acute shortage of steel it is no longer relevant to present conditions. Designers should feel free to pay full attention to the possibilities of the use of steel-work in construction.
