§ Mr. MarplesI accepted the recommendation of the Transport Users Consultative Committee for Wales and Monmouthshire that the proposal to withdraw passenger services from the Brecon to Moat Lane railway line should be approved on condition that certain bus services were provided.
The recent severe weather has prevented the alternative bus service from reaching the St. Harmon area, and the Parish Council have protested against the refusal to reopen the line in these circumstances. I shall reply to their letter very soon and will send the hon. Member a copy of this letter.
