§ 24. Mr. Ellis Smithasked the President of the Board of Trade what representations he has received from the Steel Works Plant Association to increase quotas of imports from Poland, Roumania and other countries of the Eastern area and to extend the period of credit cover to make it possible for these countries to place more of their orders for rolling mill equipment, other steel plant, and engineering equipment with British firms; and what reply he has sent.
§ Mr. GreenMy right hon. Friend has been asked to meet representatives of this Association to consider ways in which the steel works plant industry might be assisted in increasing its export trade generally, including trade with Eastern Europe. He has arranged to meet them on 1st March.
