When the present salaries of the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs were fixed?

The present salaries, both £5,000, were fixed at this level in 1831. They were abated and restored between 1931 and 1935; enacted at £5,000 under the Ministers of the Crown Act, 1937; unchanged by the Ministerial Salaries Act, 1946; abated and restored between 1951 and 1954. Under the Ministerial Salaries Act, 1957, they were unaltered but £750 Parliamentary allowance became payable in addition to the salary.
