HC Deb 04 February 1963 vol 671 c2W
42. Commander Pursey

asked the Minister of Labour if he will state the number of men in the construction industry in Hull who were unemployed on the last available date; and how many he estimates are unlikely to find a regular job in the city and will seek employment in the south of England.

Mr. Whitelaw

At 14th January, 1,272 men who were last employed in construction were registered at the Hull Employment Exchange. I cannot make any estimates, but prospects of employment locally for these workers are good.
