§ 42. Commander Purseyasked the Minister of Labour if he will state the number of men in the construction industry in Hull who were unemployed on the last available date; and how many he estimates are unlikely to find a regular job in the city and will seek employment in the south of England.
§ Mr. WhitelawAt 14th January, 1,272 men who were last employed in construction were registered at the Hull Employment Exchange. I cannot make any estimates, but prospects of employment locally for these workers are good.
