Mr. Callaghanasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what policy he has recommended that local authorities should follow in respect of purchasing houses listed for slum clearance within the next 10 years where the owner-occupiers prefer such properties to be acquired.
§ Sir K. JosephIf local authorities want to buy such houses in advance to avoid hardships to the owner-occupiers, I will give loan sanction to cover the cost.
