HC Deb 04 December 1963 vol 685 c194W
Mr. Millan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from the Scottish National Federation for the Welfare of the Blind regarding the need for the improvement of the arrangements for the medical examination and certification of blindness so as to prevent elderly blind persons having to travel long distances; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Noble

I have received representations from the Federation asking for a further development of local arrangements for certification of blindness in the area of the Western Regional Hospital Board. I have replied that the matter has been taken up with the Board and that they have it under consideration at present.
