§ Mr. Masonasked the Postmaster-General if he will specify the orders he has given for newprototype letter coding and sorting equipment; and which firms have been given the contracts.
§ Mr. MawbyCurrent contracts for new prototype letter coding and sorting equipment are as follows:
- (1) One contract with Elliott Brothers (London) Ltd. covering three items—a high-speed letter sorting machine, a single position letter sorting machine and a letter coding desk.
- (2) Two contracts with the Thrissell Engineering Company Ltd., one for a letter coding desk and one for a 144 selection automatic sorting machine.
