asked Her Majesty's Government:

With regard to grants-in-aid and/or subventions in 1962, what are the respective totals chargeable to the Exchequer—

  1. (a) as to foreign countries "underdeveloped" and "developed"
  2. (b) to countries within the Commonwealth.

The United Kingdom provided the following sums from Government funds as economic and technical assistance to less developed countries in 1962:
