§ Mr. Duffyasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that an accident occurred at Saddleworth, Yorkshire, on 30th March 1963, when a heavy lorry laden with 20 tons of coal ran away out of control on the Pennine Road and crashed in the village; and if he will order a special inquiry into this accident.
§ Mr. MarplesI have called for a report on the circumstances of this acci-156W dent which, I am sorry to learn, resulted in the death of the driver of the lorry. I shall decide in the light of this report, and of the result of the inquest, whether any further action on my part is required.
