§ Mr. Brockwayasked the Minister of Aviation what contributions have been made by the independent operators towards Government expenditure on modifications to aircraft development to suit passenger flying and route conditions, in recognition of the service from which they benefit when they purchase aircraft.
§ Mr. AmeryIndependent operators are not asked to make direct contributions of this kind, but of course the price of an aircraft, as of any other manufactured article, normally includes an element for recovery of development costs.
