asked the Minister of Labour whether Her Majesty's Government intend to ratify the Instrument for the Amendment of the Constitution of the International Labour Organisation adopted by the International Labour Conference last June.

The text of this Instrument was laid before the House in Cmnd. 1833. Its purpose is to increase the size of the Governing Body of the I.L.O. to take account of the Organisation's growth in membership. The Government welcome it and intend to ratify it as soon as possible.
